Wireless Power Transmission

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) is the process of transmitting electrical energy from a power source to an electrical load without the use of physical connections. In space and astronautical engineering, WPT is a promising technology for powering spacecraft and satellites. WPT can be achieved through various methods such as electromagnetic radiation, magnetic resonance, and laser beams. The advantages of WPT in space include the elimination of the need for physical connectors, reduction in the weight of the spacecraft, and the ability to transmit power over long distances. However, there are also challenges associated with WPT such as the efficiency of power transfer, the potential for interference with other systems, and the safety concerns associated with exposure to electromagnetic radiation.
