Energy

In space and astronautical engineering, energy refers to the capacity of a system to do work. Energy is a crucial aspect of space missions as it is required to power spacecraft, rovers, and other equipment. The most common sources of energy in space are solar power, nuclear power, and chemical reactions. Solar power is the most widely used source of energy in space as it is abundant and renewable. Nuclear power is used in deep space missions where solar power is not feasible. Chemical reactions are used in rocket engines to provide the necessary thrust to launch spacecraft into orbit. Energy storage is also an important aspect of space missions as it allows spacecraft to operate when they are not receiving energy from their primary source. Batteries and fuel cells are commonly used for energy storage in space.
