Spacecraft Safety

Spacecraft safety refers to the measures taken to ensure the safety of spacecraft and their occupants during all phases of a mission, including launch, in-orbit operations, and re-entry. This includes the design and testing of spacecraft components and systems to withstand the harsh conditions of space, as well as the development of emergency procedures and contingency plans in case of system failures or other unexpected events. Spacecraft safety also involves the training of astronauts and ground personnel to respond to emergencies and to operate spacecraft and associated systems safely and effectively. Additionally, spacecraft safety includes the monitoring of space debris and other potential hazards to spacecraft, as well as the development of strategies to mitigate these risks.
