Space Debris
Space debris refers to the man-made objects in orbit around the Earth that no longer serve any useful purpose. These objects can range in size from tiny paint flecks to large satellites and rocket stages. Space debris is a growing problem as the number of objects in orbit increases, posing a risk to operational spacecraft and satellites. Collisions with space debris can cause significant damage and generate even more debris, creating a cascade effect known as the Kessler Syndrome. To mitigate this problem, space agencies and companies are developing technologies to remove debris from orbit and prevent the creation of new debris.
