Manipulator
In space and astronautical engineering, a manipulator is a robotic arm or device used to manipulate objects in space. It is typically mounted on a spacecraft or a space station and is controlled by an operator on the ground or by an astronaut in space. The manipulator can be used for a variety of tasks, such as capturing and releasing satellites, moving cargo, performing maintenance and repairs, and conducting scientific experiments. The manipulator is equipped with various tools and sensors, such as cameras, grippers, and force sensors, to perform these tasks with precision and accuracy. The design and operation of a manipulator require careful consideration of factors such as weight, power consumption, and reliability, as well as the harsh environment of space.
