Testing Facilities

Testing facilities are specialized facilities designed to test and validate space and astronautical engineering systems and components. These facilities are used to simulate the harsh conditions of space, such as extreme temperatures, vacuum, radiation, and microgravity, and to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of spacecraft, launch vehicles, satellites, and other space systems. Testing facilities can include environmental chambers, vibration and shock test equipment, thermal vacuum chambers, acoustic test chambers, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test facilities, and propulsion test stands. Testing facilities are essential for the development and qualification of space systems, and they play a critical role in ensuring mission success and crew safety.
