Ozone

Ozone is a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, ozone plays a crucial role in the Earth's atmosphere as it absorbs harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Ozone is also present in the atmosphere of other planets, such as Mars and Venus. In addition, ozone can be artificially produced in spacecraft to provide a protective layer against radiation. However, excessive exposure to ozone can be harmful to humans and can cause respiratory problems. Therefore, it is important to monitor and control ozone levels in spacecraft and space habitats.
