Coupled System

In space and astronautical engineering, a coupled system refers to a system of two or more interconnected subsystems that interact with each other and affect each other's behavior. These subsystems can be physical components, such as spacecraft modules or instruments, or they can be abstract systems, such as control algorithms or communication protocols. The behavior of a coupled system is determined by the dynamics of the individual subsystems as well as the interactions between them. Understanding and modeling coupled systems is crucial for designing and operating complex space missions, as it allows engineers to predict and optimize the behavior of the system as a whole.
