Ultraviolet Radiation

Ultraviolet radiation (UV) is a type of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength range of 10 nm to 400 nm. In space and astronautical engineering, UV radiation is a significant factor in the design and operation of spacecraft and spacesuits. Exposure to UV radiation can cause damage to materials and electronics, as well as harm to human health. Therefore, spacecraft and spacesuits are often designed with UV-resistant materials and coatings. Additionally, UV radiation is used in various applications such as sterilization of equipment and water purification. In space, UV radiation is also used for remote sensing and imaging of celestial objects.
