Ring System

A ring system is a disk-like structure made up of dust, rocks, and ice particles that orbit around a planet or other celestial body. These particles range in size from tiny grains of dust to large boulders, and they are held in place by the planet's gravity. Ring systems are most commonly found around gas giant planets like Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune, but they can also be found around smaller bodies like asteroids and dwarf planets. The origin of ring systems is still not fully understood, but it is believed that they may have formed from the debris left over after the formation of the planet or from the breakup of a moon or other celestial body. Ring systems are of great interest to space and astronautical engineers because they provide valuable information about the formation and evolution of planetary systems, and they also present unique challenges for spacecraft navigation and exploration.
