Dust
In space and astronautical engineering, dust refers to small particles of matter that are present in space. These particles can be made up of various materials, including rock, metal, and organic compounds. Dust can be found throughout the solar system, including in the rings of Saturn and around comets. In addition to being a scientific curiosity, dust can also pose a significant hazard to spacecraft and astronauts. The high speeds at which dust particles travel in space can cause damage to spacecraft and equipment, and can even pose a risk to human health if inhaled. Scientists and engineers are working to develop new technologies to better understand and mitigate the effects of dust in space.
