Kevlar

Kevlar is a synthetic fiber material that is known for its high strength-to-weight ratio, heat resistance, and durability. It is commonly used in the construction of spacecraft and other astronautical equipment due to its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and high levels of stress. Kevlar is also used in the design of space suits and other protective gear worn by astronauts during spacewalks and other extravehicular activities. The material is made by spinning a liquid polymer solution into fibers, which are then woven together to create a strong, flexible fabric. Kevlar is a trademarked product of the DuPont company.
