Liquid

In space and astronautical engineering, liquid refers to a substance that has a definite volume but no fixed shape and can flow and take the shape of its container. Liquids are commonly used as propellants in rocket engines, such as liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen, which are used in the Space Shuttle's main engines. Liquid propellants are preferred over solid propellants because they can be easily controlled and shut off during flight. Liquids are also used as coolants in spacecraft systems, such as liquid ammonia, which is used to cool the International Space Station's power systems.
