Liquids

In space and astronautical engineering, liquids refer to substances that have a definite volume but no fixed shape. Liquids are commonly used as propellants in rockets and spacecraft. They are also used as coolants to regulate the temperature of spacecraft components. Liquids can be stored in tanks and pumped through pipes to engines or other systems. The behavior of liquids in microgravity is different from that on Earth, and this must be taken into account when designing spacecraft systems. For example, surface tension can cause liquids to form into spheres, and the lack of gravity can make it difficult to control the flow of liquids. Therefore, special pumps, valves, and other equipment are needed to handle liquids in space.
