Deorbit
Deorbit is the process of bringing a spacecraft or satellite out of orbit and back to Earth. This is typically done at the end of a mission when the spacecraft is no longer needed or has run out of fuel. Deorbiting can be achieved through a variety of methods, including firing thrusters to slow the spacecraft down and allow it to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere, or using a specialized deorbit device such as a solid rocket motor or an inflatable heat shield.
