Deorbiting
Deorbiting is the process of bringing a spacecraft or satellite out of orbit and back to Earth. This is typically done at the end of a mission when the spacecraft or satellite is no longer needed or has run out of fuel. Deorbiting can be achieved through a variety of methods, including firing thrusters to slow the spacecraft down and allow it to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere, or using a specialized deorbiting device such as a drag sail or a deorbiting engine. It is important to deorbit spacecraft and satellites in a controlled manner to avoid the risk of debris falling to Earth and potentially causing damage or injury.
