Communications Interference

Communications Interference refers to any disruption or degradation of a communication signal between a spacecraft and its ground station or between two spacecraft. This can be caused by a variety of factors, including atmospheric conditions, solar activity, equipment malfunctions, and intentional jamming. Communications interference can result in a loss of data, a decrease in data quality, or a complete loss of communication. To mitigate the effects of interference, spacecraft are equipped with redundant communication systems, error correction codes, and signal amplifiers. Ground stations also use advanced signal processing techniques to filter out interference and improve signal quality. In addition, international regulations and agreements exist to prevent intentional interference with spacecraft communications.
