Coherent Light

Coherent light refers to a type of light in which the electromagnetic waves have a constant phase relationship with each other. In other words, the waves are in sync and have a fixed phase difference between them. This type of light is important in space and astronautical engineering because it allows for the creation of highly precise instruments such as lasers and interferometers. Coherent light is also used in optical communication systems for transmitting information over long distances. In addition, coherent light is used in remote sensing applications such as LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and RADAR (Radio Detection and Ranging) for measuring distances and detecting objects. Finally, coherent light is used in imaging systems such as holography and microscopy to create high-resolution images of objects.
