Turboprop Engines

Turboprop engines are a type of gas turbine engine used in aircraft propulsion. They are designed to convert the energy from the combustion of fuel into rotational energy to drive a propeller. The engine consists of a compressor, combustion chamber, turbine, and gearbox. The compressor compresses the incoming air, which is then mixed with fuel and ignited in the combustion chamber. The resulting hot gases expand through the turbine, which drives the compressor and the propeller through the gearbox. Turboprop engines are commonly used in small to medium-sized aircraft, as they are more fuel-efficient and have a lower noise level than jet engines.
