Solid Fuel

Solid fuel is a type of rocket propellant that is in a solid form, usually cylindrical in shape, and is used to power rockets and spacecraft. Solid fuel is made up of a mixture of fuel and oxidizer, which are combined into a solid mass. When ignited, the solid fuel burns and produces hot gases that are expelled out of the rocket nozzle, providing thrust. Solid fuel is often used in the boosters of launch vehicles, as it provides a high thrust-to-weight ratio and is relatively simple to manufacture and store. However, solid fuel rockets cannot be throttled or shut down once ignited, making them less flexible than liquid fuel rockets.
