Liquid Fuel

Liquid fuel is a type of fuel that is in a liquid state at room temperature and pressure. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, liquid fuels are commonly used in rocket engines to provide the necessary thrust for spacecraft to escape Earth's gravity and reach orbit. Liquid fuels are typically composed of a fuel and an oxidizer, which are stored separately and then combined in the rocket engine's combustion chamber to create a controlled explosion that propels the spacecraft forward. Liquid fuels offer several advantages over solid fuels, including the ability to be throttled and shut off, which allows for greater control over the spacecraft's trajectory. However, liquid fuels are also more complex and expensive to handle and store than solid fuels.
