Quadrature Phase Shift Keying

Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) is a digital modulation technique used in satellite communication systems to transmit data over a radio frequency carrier signal. QPSK is a form of Phase Shift Keying (PSK) that uses four different phase angles to represent the digital data. The carrier signal is split into two channels, with each channel carrying a separate bit stream. The two channels are then combined to create a single signal that is transmitted over the satellite link. QPSK is used in satellite communication systems because it is more bandwidth-efficient than other modulation techniques, allowing more data to be transmitted over the same frequency range. However, QPSK is also more susceptible to errors caused by noise and interference, which can degrade the quality of the transmitted data.
