Passive Electronic Component

A passive electronic component is an electronic component that does not require an external power source to operate and does not amplify or modify the electrical signal passing through it. Passive components include resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, and diodes. These components are used in a wide range of electronic circuits, including power supplies, filters, amplifiers, and oscillators. Resistors are used to limit current flow, capacitors store electrical charge, inductors store magnetic energy, transformers transfer electrical energy between circuits, and diodes allow current to flow in only one direction. Passive components are essential building blocks of electronic circuits and are used in almost every electronic device.
