Orbit Maneuvers

Orbit maneuvers are the actions taken by a spacecraft to change its orbit around a celestial body. These maneuvers are necessary to achieve specific mission objectives such as changing the altitude, inclination, or eccentricity of the orbit. The most common types of orbit maneuvers include the Hohmann transfer, bi-elliptic transfer, plane change, and rendezvous maneuvers. The Hohmann transfer is used to transfer a spacecraft from one circular orbit to another by using a minimum amount of propellant. The bi-elliptic transfer is used to transfer a spacecraft from one circular orbit to another by using two engine burns. The plane change maneuver is used to change the inclination of the orbit, while the rendezvous maneuver is used to bring two spacecraft together in the same orbit. Orbit maneuvers require precise calculations and execution to ensure the success of the mission.
