Inclination
Inclination is the angle between the orbital plane of a spacecraft and a reference plane. The reference plane is usually the plane of the Earth's equator or the ecliptic plane. Inclination is an important parameter in space and astronautical engineering as it determines the launch azimuth and the amount of propellant required to achieve a desired orbit. A spacecraft with a low inclination orbit has a shorter travel time between the launch site and the destination, while a spacecraft with a high inclination orbit can provide global coverage. Inclination can also affect the visibility of a spacecraft from the ground and the communication with ground stations.
