Circular Orbit
In space and astronautical engineering, a circular orbit is the path of an object around another object where the distance between the two remains constant at all times. This type of orbit is achieved when the object's velocity is such that the gravitational force of the central body provides the necessary centripetal force to maintain the circular path. Circular orbits are commonly used in satellite missions as they provide a stable and predictable path for the satellite to follow. However, achieving a perfectly circular orbit is difficult in practice due to various factors such as atmospheric drag, gravitational perturbations from other celestial bodies, and the oblateness of the central body. As a result, most circular orbits have some degree of eccentricity.
