Gravitational Force


Gravitational force is the force of attraction between two objects with mass. In space and astronautical engineering, gravitational force plays a crucial role in the motion of celestial bodies and spacecraft. The force is directly proportional to the product of the masses of the two objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This means that the force decreases as the distance between the objects increases. Gravitational force is responsible for keeping planets in orbit around the sun, and for the motion of artificial satellites and spacecraft. It is also a key factor in the design of trajectories for interplanetary missions, as spacecraft must use the gravitational pull of planets and other celestial bodies to navigate through space.
