Maneuver

In space and astronautical engineering, a maneuver refers to any change in the velocity or direction of a spacecraft. This can include adjustments to the spacecraft's trajectory, orientation, or speed. Maneuvers can be performed using a variety of propulsion systems, including chemical rockets, ion thrusters, and electric propulsion. They are often necessary to achieve specific mission objectives, such as entering orbit around a planet or moon, rendezvousing with another spacecraft, or avoiding collisions with space debris. Maneuvers can also be used to conserve fuel or extend the lifespan of a spacecraft by adjusting its orbit to avoid exposure to harsh radiation or other hazards.
