Liquid Rocket Engine
A liquid rocket engine is a type of rocket engine that uses liquid propellants. The propellants are stored separately in tanks and are pumped into a combustion chamber where they are mixed and ignited to produce thrust. Liquid rocket engines are commonly used in spacecraft and launch vehicles due to their high thrust-to-weight ratio and controllability. They can be throttled up or down during flight and can be shut down and restarted if necessary. Liquid rocket engines can use a variety of propellants, including liquid hydrogen, liquid oxygen, kerosene, and hypergolic fuels. They are more complex and expensive than solid rocket engines, but they offer greater performance and flexibility.
