Elliptical Trainers

Elliptical trainers are exercise machines that simulate walking, running, and stair climbing without causing excessive pressure on the joints. They are designed to provide a low-impact cardiovascular workout that can improve overall fitness and help with weight loss. Elliptical trainers typically have two pedals that move in an elliptical motion, and the user stands on them while holding onto stationary handles or moving handles that simulate arm movements. The resistance level can be adjusted to increase or decrease the intensity of the workout. Some elliptical trainers also have features such as heart rate monitors, pre-programmed workouts, and adjustable inclines. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, elliptical trainers can be used as part of an exercise regimen for astronauts to maintain their physical health and prevent muscle and bone loss during long-duration space missions.
