Electromagnetic Railgun

An electromagnetic railgun is a type of weapon that uses electromagnetic force to launch high-velocity projectiles. It consists of two parallel metal rails connected to a power source. When a conductive projectile is placed between the rails, a powerful electromagnetic current is sent through them, creating a magnetic field that propels the projectile forward at incredible speeds. Electromagnetic railguns have the potential to be more efficient and cost-effective than traditional chemical propellant weapons, as they do not require explosive materials and can be powered by electricity. They also have the potential to launch projectiles at hypersonic speeds, making them useful for long-range strikes and defense against ballistic missiles.
