Deployable Radiators
Deployable Radiators are thermal control devices that are used to regulate the temperature of spacecraft and their payloads. They are designed to be compact and lightweight during launch and then deploy to a larger size once in space to increase their heat rejection capacity. Deployable Radiators are typically made up of a series of tubes or panels that are coated with a highly emissive material to increase their radiative heat transfer. They are often used in conjunction with other thermal control systems such as heat pipes and thermal blankets to maintain a stable temperature range for sensitive equipment and electronics on board the spacecraft.
