Cold Gas Thrusters
Cold Gas Thrusters are a type of spacecraft propulsion system that use compressed gas, typically nitrogen, as a propellant. The gas is stored in high-pressure tanks and released through a nozzle to generate thrust. Cold Gas Thrusters are simple and reliable, but have low specific impulse and are therefore only suitable for small adjustments in spacecraft attitude or orbit. They are commonly used for reaction control systems (RCS) on spacecraft, which are used to adjust the orientation and position of the spacecraft in space.
