Reaction Control Systems

Reaction Control Systems (RCS) are systems used in spacecraft and other vehicles to provide small amounts of thrust in various directions. These systems are used to control the orientation and position of the vehicle in space, as well as to make small adjustments to its trajectory. RCS typically use small rocket engines or thrusters that can be fired in short bursts to provide the necessary thrust. They are often used in conjunction with larger engines to provide fine control during maneuvers such as docking with another spacecraft or adjusting the vehicle's orbit. RCS are critical components of spacecraft and are used throughout the mission, from launch to landing or re-entry.
