Thermography

Thermography is the technique of using infrared imaging to detect and measure radiation emitted by objects. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, thermography is used to analyze the thermal behavior of spacecraft and their components, as well as to detect and diagnose potential issues such as overheating or insulation failure. By analyzing the temperature distribution of a spacecraft's surface, thermography can provide valuable information about its thermal performance and help engineers optimize its design and operation. Thermography is also used in the testing and validation of space-based instruments and payloads, as well as in the analysis of planetary surfaces and atmospheres.
