Systems Testing

Systems testing is a phase in the software development life cycle that involves testing the entire system as a whole, rather than testing individual components or modules. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, systems testing refers to the testing of all components and subsystems of a spacecraft or launch vehicle to ensure that they function correctly and meet the design requirements. This includes testing of the propulsion system, guidance and navigation system, communication system, power system, thermal control system, and other critical subsystems. Systems testing is typically conducted in a simulated environment that mimics the conditions of space, such as vacuum, extreme temperatures, and radiation. The goal of systems testing is to identify and resolve any issues or defects before the spacecraft or launch vehicle is launched into space.
