Structural Testing
Structural testing is a type of testing that evaluates the behavior and performance of a spacecraft's structure under various loads and environmental conditions. This includes testing the structural integrity of the spacecraft during launch, in-orbit operations, and re-entry. Structural testing involves subjecting the spacecraft to a range of mechanical and thermal stresses, such as vibration, shock, and temperature changes, to ensure that it can withstand the harsh conditions of spaceflight. The data collected from structural testing is used to validate computer models and simulations, and to identify any potential design flaws or weaknesses in the spacecraft's structure. Structural testing is a critical component of spacecraft development and is essential for ensuring mission success and crew safety.
