Sound Wave

In space and astronautical engineering, a sound wave is a type of pressure wave that is created by the vibration of matter, such as gas or liquid, and travels through a medium, such as air or water. In the context of space, sound waves cannot travel through the vacuum of space because there is no medium for the wave to propagate through. However, sound waves can still be important in space engineering as they can be used to measure the properties of a medium, such as the density and temperature of a gas. Additionally, sound waves can be used to simulate the effects of vibrations on spacecraft and other structures in space.
