Solar Thermal Systems

Solar Thermal Systems are devices that use solar energy to heat a fluid, which can be air or water, and then transfer that heat to a space or a process. These systems can be used for space heating, water heating, or industrial processes. Solar thermal systems can be classified into two main types: passive and active. Passive systems do not require any mechanical or electrical components to operate, while active systems use pumps or fans to circulate the fluid. The most common types of solar thermal systems are flat-plate collectors, evacuated tube collectors, and concentrating collectors. Flat-plate collectors are the simplest and most common type, while evacuated tube collectors are more efficient and can operate at lower temperatures. Concentrating collectors are used for high-temperature applications, such as power generation. Solar thermal systems can reduce the use of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions, and can provide energy independence and security.
