Shock Testing
Shock testing is a process of subjecting a spacecraft or its components to sudden and extreme changes in acceleration, vibration, and temperature to simulate the harsh conditions of launch and space environment. The purpose of shock testing is to ensure that the spacecraft and its components can withstand the mechanical and thermal stresses during launch and operation in space. Shock testing involves the use of specialized equipment such as shock machines, vibration tables, and thermal chambers to simulate the launch and space environment. The test results are analyzed to identify any weaknesses or failures in the spacecraft or its components and to make necessary design improvements.
