Radiometer

A radiometer is a device that measures the intensity of electromagnetic radiation, including visible light, ultraviolet light, and infrared radiation. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, radiometers are often used to measure the temperature of objects in space, such as planets, moons, and asteroids. Radiometers work by detecting the amount of radiation that is absorbed or emitted by an object, and then converting this information into a temperature reading. Radiometers are commonly used in remote sensing applications, where they can be used to gather data about the composition and temperature of objects in space from a distance. They are also used in spacecraft and satellite missions to monitor the temperature of critical components and to ensure that they are functioning properly.
