Radiography

Radiography is the use of X-rays or gamma rays to capture images of the internal structure of an object. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, radiography is used to inspect the integrity of materials and components used in spacecraft and launch vehicles. This non-destructive testing technique can detect defects such as cracks, voids, and inclusions that may compromise the safety and reliability of the spacecraft. Radiography is also used to study the behavior of materials under extreme conditions such as high temperature and pressure, which are encountered during space missions. The images obtained through radiography are analyzed by experts to determine the quality of the materials and components and to identify any potential issues that may arise during the mission.
