Protein Markers

Protein markers are specific proteins or protein fragments that are used to identify and quantify biological processes or disease states. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, protein markers can be used to monitor the health of astronauts during spaceflight, as well as to study the effects of microgravity and radiation exposure on human physiology. By measuring changes in protein markers, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying spaceflight-related health issues such as bone loss, muscle wasting, and immune dysfunction. Protein markers can also be used to monitor the health of plants and animals in space, and to study the effects of spaceflight on microbial communities.
