Planetary Rings
Planetary rings are a collection of small particles that orbit around a planet in a flat disc-shaped region. These particles can range in size from tiny dust grains to large boulders. The rings are held in place by the planet's gravity and are constantly being shaped by the gravitational forces of nearby moons and other objects. Planetary rings are found around the four gas giant planets in our solar system: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. They are believed to have formed from the debris left over after the planets themselves formed. The study of planetary rings provides important insights into the formation and evolution of our solar system.
