Flight Software

Flight software is a type of software that is used to operate and control spacecraft during all phases of a mission, from launch to landing. It is responsible for managing the spacecraft's subsystems, such as power, propulsion, and communication, as well as executing mission-specific tasks, such as scientific observations or spacecraft maneuvers. Flight software is designed to be highly reliable and fault-tolerant, as any errors or malfunctions could have catastrophic consequences for the mission. It is typically developed using specialized programming languages and tools, and undergoes extensive testing and verification before being deployed on the spacecraft. During the mission, flight software is monitored and updated as necessary to ensure that the spacecraft is operating as intended.
