Pixels
In space and astronautical engineering, pixels refer to the smallest unit of an image that can be transmitted or captured by a camera or sensor. In space applications, pixels are used to capture images of celestial bodies, monitor the Earth's surface, and perform scientific experiments. The resolution of an image is determined by the number of pixels it contains, with higher pixel counts resulting in sharper and more detailed images. Pixels are also used in digital displays on spacecraft and satellites to provide visual information to operators on the ground. In addition, pixels are used in the design and testing of spacecraft components, such as solar panels and thermal control systems, to ensure they can withstand the harsh conditions of space.
