Pipelines

In space and astronautical engineering, pipelines refer to the network of tubes and hoses that transport fluids and gases between different components of a spacecraft or a space station. These pipelines are critical for the proper functioning of life support systems, propulsion systems, and other subsystems that rely on the circulation of fluids and gases. The design and construction of pipelines in space require special considerations due to the absence of gravity, extreme temperatures, and the need for high reliability and safety. Materials used for pipelines must be able to withstand the harsh space environment and resist corrosion and degradation over long periods of time. Pipeline systems are also subject to strict regulations and standards to ensure their performance and safety.
