Orbital Velocity

Orbital velocity is the minimum velocity required for an object to maintain a stable orbit around a celestial body. It is the speed at which the centripetal force required to maintain the circular orbit is equal to the gravitational force of the celestial body. Orbital velocity depends on the mass of the celestial body and the distance between the object and the body. In astronautical engineering, orbital velocity is a crucial parameter for launching and maintaining satellites and spacecraft in orbit around the Earth or other celestial bodies.
