Celestial Body
In space and astronautical engineering, a celestial body refers to any natural object in space that is outside of Earth's atmosphere. This includes planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and other objects that orbit a star. Celestial bodies are studied by scientists to understand the formation and evolution of the universe. They are also of interest to space engineers as potential targets for exploration and colonization. The study of celestial bodies involves a range of disciplines, including astronomy, astrophysics, and planetary science. Scientists use telescopes, spacecraft, and other instruments to observe and study celestial bodies, and to gather data about their composition, structure, and behavior. Understanding celestial bodies is important for developing technologies for space exploration and for advancing our knowledge of the universe.
