Orbital Characteristics
Orbital characteristics refer to the properties of an object's orbit around another object in space. These properties include the object's orbital period, eccentricity, inclination, and altitude. The orbital period is the time it takes for the object to complete one orbit around the other object. Eccentricity refers to the shape of the orbit, with a circular orbit having an eccentricity of 0 and a highly elliptical orbit having an eccentricity close to 1. Inclination is the angle between the object's orbital plane and the reference plane, which is typically the plane of the Earth's equator. Altitude is the distance between the object and the surface of the other object it is orbiting.
